mBot gives an opportunity to students to practically experience programming, electronics and robotics. The robot is built from 38 easy to assemble parts that can be used by students to create their own robot. mBot helps students learn science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) in an interactive and a fun filled way. They will learn how to use the mBot to create stories and various games which will help them interact with the physical world. The mechanical body of the mBot is compatible with Makeblock platform and most of LEGO® parts, while the electronic parts of it is developed based on the Arduino open source ecosystem. This makes sure that the mBot has infinite extensibility, using any mechanical parts and electronic modules you need to turn it into your “dream robot”. The mBots are operated by software and remote control activation.
The students will learn to use the Scratch open source drag and drop graphical programming software. This programming style makes it easy for kids to program, control and develop multiple functions for their robot.
mBot has multiple sensors such as light, motion, sound and temperature.
mBot robots are operated by remote control using 2.4 GHz wireless module or Bluetooth to connect.
